1)   Do I need a consultation?

Yes. The consultation is very important in determining the appropriate medical procedure. Beware in many cosmetic clinics, only salon personnel or sales people will talk to you – this is NOT a medical consultation.

 

2)   How much is the treatment?

Everybody’s skin is unique. Like all medical conditions, we can only give you an accurate price for treatment after seeing you in person and accurately assessing your condition. Don’t trust any operators who offer you an ‘upfront’ price without a thorough medical consultation. Our prices are transparent, affordable and have attracted thousands of patients from all over the UK.

 

3)   Is this laser treatment?

No. Veinwave is thermocoagulation and works in a similar way to a microwave. Laser treatment is not particularly beneficial to leg veins and many face veins, especially those located around the nose. We spend a lot of time correcting the problems caused by laser treatment. See here for an example of laser surgery.

 

4)   Can I expect any scarring or pigmentation?

No. When administered properly Veinwave does not scar and will not cause hypo or hyperpigmentation. If you are anxious about the possibility of scarring, we’re happy to do a skin test for you so you can see the results yourself.

6)   Are the microwaves used in the treatment safe?

Yes. The microwaves penetrate the tissue to approximately 0.5mm – 2mm at the most, which does not have any adverse effects. The safety of our patients is our first priority and we comply with strict regulations and Government legislation in order to operate. All our staff are fully trained.

 

7)   Will my veins come back?

This is unlikely. We keep a video record of your veins before and during treatment so we can be sure they have not returned. Of course, if you are prone to veins as part of an existing condition, others may develop over time - but generally not in the same area.

 

8)   Is finance available?

Yes. We can offer 0 per cent finance on most of our surgical procedures.
