Thread veins may appear at any age but usually develop between 18 and 35 years and often peaks between 45 and 60 years.
Where do we get thread veins?
They can develop anywhere on the body but often on the face, nose, cheeks, and chin. On the legs they are commonly on the upper thigh and around the knee and ankles.
Why do we get thread veins?
The exact causes of thread veins are not known but along with hereditary factors it is thought heat, alcohol and hormonal changes act as a trigger.
