I had a lot of little red veins mainly all over my cheeks and a few scattered on my nose, but my main concern was my cheeks it was terrible, I tried to hide it with lots of foundation, which really upset me as my skin is in pretty good condition apart from the nasty red veins.

I became very self-conscious about them, they made me look a lot older than my years, made my skin look dull and tired. I tried every expensive treatment available, Lasers, IPL, creams and Injections etc but nothing would rid me of them, In fact they seem to look worse after treatments with the above.

I searched the internet for any treatment that would work. I went on forums to hear from other people who also suffered with the same condition as me to hear the pros and cons of what works and what doesn't. Nothing caught my eye and I assumed I was stuck with nasty red veins on my cheeks.

Then a few months later I watched a show on tv, I can't remember the name of it, but it was about certain cosmetic procedures and one of them thankfully was about a woman who suffered even worse red veins than myself all over her face. The treatment took place with Doctor Newman and his procedure/treatment called Veinwave, the lady was very happy with her results. I immediately booked an appointment with Doctor Newman, there is a waiting list, but that only impressed me, he must be the best if I have to wait.

Doctor Newman is definitely worth the wait, he and his team are very friendly and helpful. He explained very clearly to me how the veinwave/thermcoagulation worked and the pros and cons, how many treatments I would need in total. Also because I suffer with a little pigmentation there was a chance I could pigment in the area treated, I took the risk as I find pigmentation is much easier to get rid of than veins and thankfully after my first treatment I didn't pigment at all, but the fact Doctor Newman didn't hold back that information gave me great confidence in him. After my first treatment, I was slightly red and swollen for a day or two, nothing dramatic and a little makeup helped. There were a few little scabs as it healed fully over the next few days. I was so happy with my first treatment, 70 per cent of my ugly red veins on my cheeks were gone.

I had a second treatment 6 months later that cleared most of the veins all over my nose and cheeks and I had less swelling, redness and scabbing the second time around. I went for my final treatment a few weeks ago, for a few little red veins we missed or remained, but to be honest it was hardly noticeable, I am just a perfectionist and wanted them totally gone.

I finally have clear even tone skin with not a single red vein on my cheeks, nose etc hence I wear a lot less makeup on my skin and I have my confidence back, I am so happy. I highly recommend Doctor Newman, he is definitely worth the wait.
