Dr George Taggart

MBBS, MRCGP

Dr George Taggart has 20 years experience in General Practice and continues to work full time in a well-established NHS practice in East Sussex. Prior to graduating at St Thomas’s Hospital Medical School in 1991, he spent his elective at The Sydney Melanoma Unit in Australia where he gained invaluable experience in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers.

Following graduation, he worked at St Thomas’s Hospital, Chertsey and Canterbury Hospitals and then spent a further year working in Australia. He returned to general practice in London for a further two years, the second of which was in private practice. During his training he developed extended experience in ENT surgery, sports medicine and paediatrics. A GP trainer, he is also particularly experienced in minor surgery, joint injections and ENT micro-suction – all excellent skills to effectively compliment his work at Dr Newmans Clinic.

An Aeromedical examiner accredited by The Civil Aviation Authority, Dr Taggart is also a lifeboat medical adviser for the RNLI.
